These Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) govern all purchases, downloads, and interactions with the artwork, patterns, plush creations, and digital content offered by Bulge Barn VOF, operated under the artist name “The Christmas Lady.”

By purchasing a plush, adopting a fantasy creature, downloading a pattern, or using this website, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

1. Handmade Plush – Collector Items Only

All plush creations sold or displayed under the name “The Christmas Lady” are handmade plush artworks intended for collectors, with a primary focus on adult customers.

  • These items are not toys and are not suitable for children or pets.

  • Small parts may pose a choking hazard, especially if broken or handled roughly.

  • We cannot be held responsible for injuries, accidents, or incidents resulting from misuse, including (but not limited to) a child or pet swallowing a component.

Each plush includes:

  • A removable swing tag, stating that the item is a collector’s piece and not a toy.
    By removing this tag, the customer confirms having read and accepted these T&C.

  • A fabric tag sewn inside the plush, which also specifies that the item is a handmade collector’s artwork.

2. Use of Sewing Patterns

Patterns created by The Christmas Lady may be used by customers to make and sell physical plush creations in small-business or hobbyist quantities.

However, the following rules apply:

  • Patterns may not be resold, redistributed, gifted, or uploaded anywhere in original or altered form.

  • Patterns may not be edited, modified, traced, or redrawn and then presented as your own design.

  • The digital files remain the intellectual property of The Christmas Lady at all times.

You may sell finished products made using the patterns, but you must never claim the pattern design as your own.

3. Copyright of Fantasy Species & Lore

All original fantasy species, characters, and worldbuilding created by The Christmas Lady—such as the Nordox and Toloon dragon—are protected by copyright.

  • You may use the species names when selling plush you made (e.g., “Nordox plush”).

  • You may not claim the species, lore, worldbuilding, traits, or associated mythology as your own creation.

  • The original concepts and stories remain the sole intellectual property of The Christmas Lady.

Unauthorized use of the lore, universe, or species creation beyond naming the item is strictly prohibited.

4. Intellectual Property

All artwork, plush designs, sewing patterns, product images, fantasy species, worldbuilding, and written content on this website are the exclusive property of The Christmas Lady and Bulge Barn VOF, unless otherwise stated.

This includes:

  • Plush designs

  • Digital files

  • Illustrations

  • Brand names

  • Species & lore

  • Website text and layout

Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use without permission is forbidden.

5. Orders, Payments & Digital Downloads

  • All payments must be completed before items or digital files are released.

  • Digital downloads are non-refundable once delivered.

  • By completing a purchase, you confirm that all provided information (email address, shipping details, etc.) is correct.

6. Shipping & Returns

Plush creations:

  • As each plush is handmade, variations and small imperfections are normal and part of the artwork.

  • Returns are accepted only in cases of significant defects or mistakes on our part.

  • Customers must contact us within 14 days of receiving the item.

Digital products:

  • Due to the nature of digital files, no returns or refunds will be issued once the files have been delivered.

7. Liability

You accept full responsibility for the proper handling, storage, and display of the plush.
The Christmas Lady and Bulge Barn VOF cannot be held liable for:

  • Damage caused by improper use

  • Injuries caused by small parts

  • Misuse of patterns

  • Loss or damage during shipping caused by third-party postal services

8. Privacy

We only collect information necessary to process orders. Personal data is never sold or shared, except where required for essential services (such as shipping carriers or payment processors).

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Belgium.
Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of Belgian courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these T&C at any time without prior notice.
The version posted on the website at the time of purchase or download always applies.
